Season 2, Special 1: Anime Awards Night Nominations

*the scene: Ucchan's Okonomiyaki restaurant. Ukyo (Ranma 1/2) and her 'other half’ Belldandy (Oh My Goddess) are awaiting all the subscribers and the rest of the staff to file in. Outside, Purin and Sephy are having a Pokémon match*
Sephy: Mew, PSYCHIC!!!
Mew: Mew, mew!!! *the psychic cat pokémon releases a pink blast that engulfs Purin's Clefairy, knocking it out (psychic attacks are super effective against normal types)*
Purin: NO!!! Clefairy, return! *uses pokéball retrieve function. Throws another pokéball* Raichu, attack!!! *the evolved form of pikachu comes out of the pokéball*
Raichu: Raichu! *energy flys to his cheeks* RAI, RAICHU!!! *thunderbolt attack knocks out Mew*
Sephy: You did your best... *picks up Mew* All right, Vulpix, attack this fiend!!! *the fire fox pokémon jumps from Sephy's pokéball*
Vulpix: VUL!!! *flamethrower attack is shot at Raichu and hits*
Raichu: *energy surges through the clouds* RAIIIII!!!! *thunder attack smashes Vulpix into a wall* Raichu!!! *throws victory sign into the air*
Purin: Ha, ha, ha... I win!
Ukyo: You two done yet? *she shouts from inside the restaurant*
Sephy: Yes... *he walks toward the restaurant with his two hurt pokémon in his arms*

Belldandy: Hi, I'm new here and I share all the responsibilities of Ukyo. Today, we are going to tell you the categories for the Animé Awards Night (Year 2000). This will be a yearly thing that will happen once every year.
Ukyo: Also, we are going to have special awards for people who contribute articles to the Animé News Letter. Of course, we need people to be nominated! We're taking the top three nominated in each category, but please, no more than two nominations from a single person in any given category.
Belldandy: And now for the actual awards...
Sephy: *in between bites of okonomiyaki* Yeah... and staff cannot nominate nor vote in this...
Gatomon and Purin: *sweatdrop* ...

Best Series
Belldandy: This award is up for any television (like Ranma 1/2 or Sailor Moon) or OAV (such as Oh My Goddess or Dominion Tank Police) series.

Best Movie
Ukyo: This one's for any animé movie ever made!
Belldandy: Of course, due to our no hentai policy, no hentai flicks may be nominated.
Sephy: *while shoveling rice into his mouth* I'm proud of you two for upholding that policy.

Best Male Lead
Ukyo: This one can go to any lead male character.

Best Female Lead
Belldandy: Like the one above, but for ladies (such as myself, hint, hint)
Sephy: ...

Most Hentai Award
Ukyo: This award is for any character who is a major pervert (such as our Gatomon or Happosai from Ranma 1/2), NOT for any hentai movies or series.
Gatomon: Yep, any hentai like... HEY!!!

Coolest Song
Belldandy: Animé movies and series have a reputation for good music, so here's where you nominate songs.

Best Special Attack
Ukyo: Almost every animé character has a special attack, and we want to give recognition to the fan favorite attack. Undoubtedly, Sephy's Battle Square will be filled for months after this award...
Sephy: ...

The Ultimate Monster Award
Belldandy: Monsters can be evil villains (such as that demon thing from Slayers) or a valuable ally (such as Pikachu from Pokémon or Agumon from Digimon). Poor Mr. Sephiroth's Battle Square'll be filled to the brim with monsters after this...
Sephy: ...

Kawaii Award
Ukyo: Well... there are a lot of cute things in animé now a days... So here's the thing... You'll vote on the cute li'l fuzz balls and maybe we can keep this out of Battle Square...
Sephy: !?

Battle Square Superstar!!!
Sephy: This award is for the strongest warrior in any and all things animé. The winner of this award will be pit against ten creatures and/or warriors of my choice in a fanfic to be posted on the website. Maybe even I'll fight the receiver of this award...
Mew and Vulpix: ...

SUPER MEGA SPECTACULAR ANIMÉ
Belldandy and Ukyo (in stereo): This award is for the ultimate in all things animé. This includes artwork, music, characters, plot, storyline and all things of that nature.

Sephy: We've had people send in articles, and it comes down to the other readers as to who writes the best. So... that kind of limits it to Fujikuro, Ami-chan, and Lum. No hard feelings, this is nothing personal against anyone not picked. At least I don't have to worry about you three knocking each other off... Living so far away from each other...
